The United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) alpine ski racing program offers a network of competitive opportunities for ski racers of all ages from coast to coast.  The country is split into three geographic racing regions including West, Rocky/Central, and Eastern.  The Central Division (CUSSA) is part of the Rocky/Central Region.  There are four local regions within the Central Division.  These regions are defined geographically as:

  • Region 1: Minnesota, North & South Dakota, and Iowa west of Rt. 63.
  • Region 2: Upper peninsula of Michigan west of Route 77, Wisconsin, Iowa east of Route 63, Illinois, and Missouri.
  • Region 3: Lower peninsula of Michigan, Upper peninsula of Michigan east of Route 77, and Indiana.
  • Region 4: Ohio & Kentucky.

USSA Central Division racers train with one of the more than 40 USSA clubs throughout the Midwest.  New athletes to CUSSA racing will start racing at the club and local regional level, and will advance to divisional level and  national level racing as their ability rises.

Please click on the rules page for more CUSSA Racing information

“The USSA Central Division Mission is to provide a system which promotes the sport of alpine ski racing and develops a lifetime of personal and athletic excellence by offering quality competition and developmental opportunities”
